Himalayan Salt Baths for Unblocking Chakras
In my post Why Himalayan Salt will unblock your chakras, you learned how Himalayan Salt can be used for cleansing chakras. In this post, you’ll learn about using Himalayan Salt baths for detoxing your body and unblocking chakras including why Himalayan Salt is good for baths, how to choose the right type of Himalayan Salt, how much salt to use, how to prepare your bath, and how long to soak in order to increase your vibration and cleanse your energy field. You’ll also discover the spiritual cleansing benefits of using Himalayan Salt to open the energy centers and how Himalayan Salt removes negative energy.
Is Himalayan Salt good for baths?
Using Himalayan Salt in the bath allows its stored vibrational energy to be released and absorbed into the physical body for detoxification, and into the energetic body for unblocking chakras. It’s believed that the unique cellular structure of the salt crystal allows it to store vibrational energy from its source deep in the Himalayan Salt mines where there is no exposure to toxins or pollutants.
According to the Himalayan Salt Factory, it’s good to use Himalayan Salt for baths because “Himalayan crystal mineral salt has gentle, but strong grounding and centering energies.”
Does Himalayan Salt remove negative energy?
Himalayan Salt is a natural purifier with a high vibrational frequency. ‘Negative’ energy is low vibrational energy so Himalayan salt baths can be used to increase the rate of vibration and release ‘negative’ energy from the chakra energy points.
The high vibration of Himalayan Salt is the reason it has been used for centuries for purification, cleansing, protection, and dispelling negativity in many magical, spiritual, and traditional rituals as it is believed that the salt absorbs the low vibrational energy by binding it to its own crystalline structure.
How to use Himalayan Salt baths to unblock chakras
In addition to using Himalayan Salt in the bath to remove negative energy from the chakras, it will also detoxify the physical body. According to saltability, “bathing with Himalayan salt, a natural stress reliever allows the body to absorb the minerals from the salt while releasing toxins and negative energy into the water.”
PICK THE TYPE OF HIMALAYAN SALT
Even though pink is the most common color of Himalayan Salt, it can also be found in many other natural shades and colors. According to the Himalayan Salt Factory, the colors can vary from pure white to pink, orange, red, and grey depending on the type and amount of minerals present.
White Himalayan Salt is the rarest form and therefore, is the most expensive; but, any type can be used for bathing to unblock chakras.
The size of Himalayan Salt granules that are available varies from fine ground powder to medium and coarse granular sizes. Any of these can be used in the bath as well as Himalayan Rock Salt chunks which take a bit longer to dissolve but have the same benefits.
DETERMINE HOW MUCH TO USE
Using too much Himalayan Salt in the bath can be physically draining as it will remove impurities and low vibrational energies from the body. I recommend using 1/3 to 1/2 cup for a standard bathtub even though some sources recommend using more than a cup. I’ve found that using too much Himalayan Salt in the bath can deplete energy from the chakras instead of clearing, charging, and balancing them.
PREPARE YOUR BATH
To prepare your bath, pour the Himalayan Salt in the bathtub while the water is running. If you use a medium or coarse granular type salt, you may have to stir the water to ensure the salt is evenly mixed and dissolved before you get in.
When using a Himalayan Salt chunk, get in the bath before it is fully dissolved then stir the water as you soak.
ADD ESSENTIAL OILS
Since pure natural essential oils are extracted from various plant materials and have high vibrations that affect the energy field and chakras, they can be combined with the naturally high vibration of Himalayan Salt and used to unblock chakras in the bath. A few drops are all you need to add while the water is running, and the salt is dissolving.
HOW LONG TO SOAK?
I’d recommend soaking in the Himalayan Salt bath for about 20-30 minutes then rinse your skin with clear water. If you don’t rinse off the salt residue, your skin may begin to itch!
That’s it, that’s how I use Himalayan salt in the bath to detoxify, unblock chakras, and remove negative energies. Himalayan salt is good for baths. By selecting the type of salt that works best for you, dissolving it in water, adding essential oils, and enjoying your soak, you can both detoxify your physical body and unblock your chakras at the same time!
